A sample menu is as follows:
Breakfast - Porridge, toast, butter, jam, pancakes, fruit salad, yogurt with hot chocolate, coffee and a variety of teas.
Lunch - Soup + a main course ranging from Lomo Saltado, Causa Rellena, Trout, Spaghetti Bolagnese etc. served with rice and garlic bread

You should always consult your local travel clinic regarding vaccines. In general the regular vaccines such as Tetanus, Diptheria, Polio etc are recommended. If you are visiting the low-land jungle then Yellow Fever is recommended.

Do I need to be fit to do one of your treks?

All of our treks (the Inca Trail, Salkantay, Ausangate etc.) are moderately difficult, long and mountainous. We highly recommend that you are relatively fit and acclimatised to altitude (minimum 2 days ) before undertaking them.  During the months (or at the very least, one month) before your trip, you should take regular  exercise.  We want you to have an amazing experience and the fitter you are, the more enjoyable the treks will be for you.

Osm tours can cancel my Salkantay Trek under any situation?

The only situation to cancel a confirmed booking is by unexpected or uncontrolled events like: A strike, people who block road or rail, an earthquake, a flooding, etc.

In that situation we will re-schedule your trek ASAP.

The maximum group size on any of our treks is 10 people.
We considerate 10 persons is have better comunication and atettion with the guide.

What happens if OSM tours does not meet the minimum size?
We require just 2 persons to depart. In the very unlikely event of that we do not reach the minimum required number of persons we reserve the right to combine our clients with another trekking company of similar or higher cost.

As a single trekker, may I join one of fixed departure programs?

Yes, of course! We usually have single trekkers on each and every one of our group departures. It is a great way to get to know fellow travelers and most people find that the group dynamics are very friendly and comforting. Logistically, single trekkers will share rooms and tents with other single trekkers of the same sex on our group journeys.

Do I need walking sticks?

This is a personal preference, some people need specially during treks with many ascents and descents. Others opt to find on the way. If you have hips, ankles or knees weak, the use of these sticks could be quite necessary help.
